ACS-ASTRO Dr. Felix Feng Clinician Scientist Development Grant

Overview

The American Cancer Society (ACS) and ASTRO honor the legacy of Felix Feng, MD, an expert in translational genomics and pre-clinical therapeutics for prostate cancer, by offering a joint Clinician Scientist Development Grant (CSDG). This program supports full-time faculty members in becoming independent investigators as clinician scientists. The ACS-ASTRO Dr. Felix Feng CSDG funds a practicing radiation oncologist pursuing research questions relevant to improving health across the cancer continuum.

Eligibility

• Full-time faculty at a U.S. academic institution or eligible nonprofit.
• Applicants must have a doctoral degree (or terminal degree for their field), an active clinical license, and participate in clinical care. Applicants may also be board-certified clinical medical physicists.
• Applicants should not be a current or former principal investigator (PI) of an individual mentored training grant.
• Applicants may not have been the PI of an independent extramural research grant that is more than one year AND more than $100,000 direct costs, including multi-PI awards.
• Must have institutional commitment for the applicant to devote at least 50% effort to CSDG research and training.
