Bladder Cancer

Bladder cancer is the 6th most common cancer in the United States, diagnosed in about 85,000 new people each year. The most common causes of bladder cancer are smoking cigarettes, and other chemical exposures. It is most often diagnosed after age 55.

Bone Metastases

Cancer that starts in one part of the body can sometimes spread and invade other areas of the body. If a tumor spreads to the bone, this new cancer deposit is called a bone metastasis.

Brain Metastases

Brain metastases are clusters of malignant or cancerous cells that have spread from another part of the body to the brain. About 170,000 people will be diagnosed with brain metastases this year making it more common than many primary tumors, such as primary brain tumors (70,000 cases), lymphoma (89,190) or colon cancer (106,590).

Brain Tumors

Brain tumors cause damage because, as they grow, they can interfere with surrounding cells that serve vital roles in our everyday life. According to the Central Brain Tumor Registry of the United States, an estimated 93,470 new cases of primary malignant (26,670) and non-malignant (66,800) brain and central nervous system tumors are expected to be diagnosed in the United States this year.
 

Breast Cancer

If you find out you have breast cancer, you should discuss your treatment options with your physician. Breast cancer treatment will vary depending on the stage and location of the cancer and will be individually tailored to your specific needs.

Colon, Rectum and Anus Cancers

In 2025, it is estimated that 107,320 Americans will be diagnosed with colon cancer. Colorectal cancer is the third most commonly diagnosed cancer in men and women. 46,950 men and women will be diagnosed with rectal cancer. In addition, about 10,930 people will learn they have anal cancer. 

Esophagus and Stomach Cancers

The esophagus (food pipe) is the organ that brings food from your mouth down to your stomach which then helps begin the digestion process. According to the American Cancer Society, in 2025, an estimated 22,070 new cases of esophageal cancer will be diagnosed.

Gynecologic Cancers

According to the American Cancer Society, 118,920 women in 2025 will be diagnosed with some form of gynecologic cancer. Cancers of the uterus, cervix and ovary are most common. They account for 103,370 new cases each year.

Head and Neck Cancers

The American Cancer Society estimates that in the United States, approximately 3-5 percent of all cancers will be in the head and neck region.

Lung Cancer

Lung cancer treatment depends on several factors, including the type, the mutations specific to the cancer, the stage of the lung cancer and your overall health. Treatment of lung cancer often requires input from a multidisciplinary team, including radiation oncologists, medical oncologists, thoracic surgeons and lung doctors (pulmonologists).

Lymphomas

The lymphatic system is a network of tiny vessels extending throughout the body. Scattered along these vessels are lymph nodes, which are often adjacent to arteries and veins. According to the American Cancer Society, in 2025, an estimated 89,070 cases of lymphoma will be diagnosed in the U.S. and 20,540 people will die from the disease.

Pediatric Cancers

Advances in radiation therapy have ensured that radiation therapy can be tailored to an individual child’s needs while also being delivered effectively and safely.

Prostate Cancer

If you find out you have prostate cancer, you should discuss your treatment options with a radiation oncologist, a urologist and a medical oncologist.Cure rates are similar when undergoing radiation therapy or surgery, but certain factors may make one of these treatments better than the other for certain individuals.

Sarcoma

According to the American Cancer Society, there will be 13,520 new cases of sarcoma in 2025. Sarcomas are very rare, making up less than 1% of new cancers. Adults and children can develop a sarcoma, but it is most common in adults.

Skin Cancer

Skin cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in the United States. According to the American Cancer Society, 112,690 new cases of skin cancer (excluding basal and squamous cell) will be diagnosed in the United States this year. These cancers can usually be cured. In addition, 104,960 new cases of melanoma will be diagnosed in the U.S. in 2025.
