Volunteer

ASTRO members serve on the Foundation Board, committees, subcommittees and task forces. The generosity and commitment of these volunteers make it possible for the Foundation to expand its reach, strengthen its programs, and make a lasting impact within radiation medicine.

2027 Call for Volunteers 

Speed of Light – The ASTRO Foundation is seeking active and engaged volunteers for the next term of service, which begins on January 1, 2027. Learn more about the purpose and responsibilities of each group that is currently accepting volunteers:

• Development Committee
• Advancing Research Talent Subcommittee of the Science Council
• Science Education and Strategic Initiatives Subcommittee of the Science Council
• Scientific Review Panel of the Science Council

To volunteer, submit your request through your MyASTRO account by October 16, 2026. Volunteers who are invited to serve will receive notification before December 1, 2026. Volunteering for Speed of Light – The ASTRO Foundation will be a part of your ASTRO service record.

If you are volunteering for the Science Education and Strategic Initiatives Subcommittee, please be sure to specify one or more of the Foundation's research priorities (AI to Advance Radiotherapy, Functional Radiation Medicine, Radiation and the Immune System, and Radiopharmaceutical Therapy) in the description of your areas of expertise in your application.
