Some cancer patients and their families may find themselves in a position where they need to travel to a cancer center or hospital that is far from home. The following are resources that provide lodging assistance for patients and their families.

Some cancer patients and their families may find themselves in a position where they are unable to drive or need assistance getting to their appointments and treatments.

Dealing with the diagnosis of cancer can be difficult and expensive. Below are some financial resources that can be helpful for assisting with treatment and prescription co-payments, insurance issues, fertility preservation and more.

Emergency Preparation

Treatment interruptions, for various reasons, do happen. When conditions allow you to resume treatment, your radiation oncologist is the best person to determine how to proceed with your care and any alteration that need to be made to your schedule.

Clinical Trials

Cancer specialists regularly conduct studies to test new treatments. These studies are called clinical trials. Clinical trials are available through cancer doctors everywhere — not just in major cities, university centers or in large hospitals.
